3. What if my employer wants to verify my degree?
Ans. We understand that many employers require transcript and degree verification. That's why University of NorthWest supplies graduates with a Graduation Letter on University letterhead, which includes University contact information, which can be copied and used as desired. We also provides degree verification through the Office of the Registrar upon request via fax or mail. Requests for transcripts or degree verification must be accompanied by the student’s signature (required by federal law).
4. Who can verify my degree?
Ans. Your degree and transcript can be verified by any party that you authorize in writing (as per federal law) to do so. A request may be made via fax or mail and must include your signature. The address and fax number for University of NorthWest's Office of Records and Registration will be included in your Graduation Letter and can be used to confirm the information in your record. The office provides verification, but will not divulge any other confidential information of any kind to institutions or to unauthorized parties.
5. How long are transcripts and records kept available for verification?
Ans. We realize that verification of records is a major concern to our students. All transcripts and records will be kept in a perpetual database, and are always available for verification.
6. Do you offer Apostille Service?
Ans. Yes, our degrees can be Apostilled by a Secretary of State Department or country official. The Apostille (with official seal) legalizes the notarized authenticity report of your degree and transcript.
